PM Modi said, this is my first official visit to Thailand

PM Narendra Modi reached Thailand on Saturday. Here he is addressing people at the Sawasdee PM Modi event at Nimbibra Stadium in Bangkok.

- PM Modi said, Today, during the reign of the new King of Thailand, I have come here to participate in the India-ASEAN Summit at the invitation of my friend Prime Minister 'Prayut Chan O'.

- PM Modi said, this is my first official visit to Thailand. Three years ago, I paid tribute to the King of Thailand on behalf of the bereaved India.

- PM Modi said, the whole world has just celebrated the festival of Diwali. Today is a big festival of Chhath.

- PM Modi said, I am among all of you in the ancient Suvarnabhumi, Thailand, I do not think that I am abroad. This atmosphere, these costumes, there is a feeling of belonging from every side, it reflects. Not only because you are of Indian origin, but also you can find familiarity with every particle of Thailand. In this conversation, there is a glimpse of Indianness in its food, in its traditions, in faith, in architecture.

PM Modi thanked people in local language in Bangkok.


In a short time, PM Modi will address the people of the Indian community in Thailand, at the ASEAN Summit, the world will meet big and many agreements will be done.

The ASEAN Summit has begun in Bangkok on Saturday. Leaders of 10 ASEAN member countries have arrived to attend the conference. The member countries of ASEAN include Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

In an interview to Bangkok Post, PM Modi said that India is committed to a balanced outcome from the RCEP talks. Successfully ending it is in the interest of all parties. That is why India wants a balance between goods, services and investment. He said that we understand the high ambition of our colleagues about the good. We hope for good results for all. We feel that our concerns about trade deficit should be resolved.
